A 7' by 13' comic-book tribute to the violence and monumentality of the Temple of Zeus and Athena at Pergamon. While I was not thinking of the MeToo movement when I painted it, this work seems to have fallen into that same zeitgeist. This work also indicts the historical sexism of Western art, quoting Correggio, Titian, Rubens, and many others. As with "I Met the Goddess," its style is influenced by years of reading Mad Magazine and gazing at the great illustrations of artists such as Jack Davis, Mort Drucker, Tom Richmond, and Hermann Mejia.
